SCREENOCEAN DIGITISING UNSEEN REUTERS AFRICA COLLECTION

SCREENOCEAN DIGITISING UNSEEN REUTERS AFRICA COLLECTION

Reuters Africa Collection - Keystone Productions, based in Johannesburg, is overseeing the digitisation of a staggering 12,000 Reuters master tapes as part of an extensive new digitisation project commissioned by Screenocean. This comprehensive library of ‘never before seen’ footage offers a unique insight into the Sub-Saharan experience from 1985 to 2010.

From daily life during Apartheid to Mandela's inauguration, other highlights from this exclusive collection include peace negotiations, political parties and figures, full interviews, and footage from the neighbouring countries of Congo, Angola, and Mozambique. The impressive list also includes Visnews archive footage shot on location in and around South Africa.

Keystone Productions estimates that the entire Reuters Africa Collection will add a further 5,000 hours of unseen footage to the already incredible Reuters Archive library.

Tapes can be digitised upon request, if you would like more information on this project, please contact Devon@screenocean.com.
